Manic Monday

It has been a fruitful day today. (So far, at least for a Monday)

The boyfriend and I spent the whole afternoon sorting out his accounts. His bills and statements were all over the place!! Most people have some proper filing system to keep their past bills and statements etc. The boyfriend apparently doesn't. He gets the bank to call him a week before the bills are due and tell him the payment amount! WOW!! Why hire a PA, when you can get such preferential treatment from the banks?!

Anyway the responsible, meticulous me told him off sternly for overworking the poor customer service officers. And then we sat down together, procured a ring file (green of course) and proceeded to file everything in proper order with separaters and stuff. I'm sure he is going to miss the pampering he gets from the banks, his insurance agent etc but he did admit that it's probably better this way.

Had a wonderful lunch earlier today with an ex-colleague cum present-client of mine. Drey is also one of my closest friends. Recently she has had a rough patch and over lunch, I was sharing with her what I had experienced the night before and how more peaceful I feel leaving everything to God. We spoke about the rough patch we both had and how God wants us to experience that to become stronger and wiser. It was an amazing conversation and I'm grateful to have a friend with whom I can share my religion.

Drey had some good news to share as well and I'm overjoyed that she has found new happiness in her life. She has been wrought with personal worries and work stress for so long now, and I think she really deserves a break. I'm so happy that she has found someone to take care of her and share her life with, as I have with Drew.

The ex-boss is coming over later to have a late cuppa together and I'm looking forward to that as well. He is a fantastic leader and a very close friend and I have always looked up to him as a surrogate elder brother. I think I'm very blessed to have made such wonderful friends in my previous employment; friends whom I can count on in and out of the office. We might be meeting up for a reunion of sorts this Thursday so that should be quite fun.

Afterwards, dinner with the boyfriend and HOME! I was playing HO until 4am this morning, hence I'm completely knackered right now. Am so looking forward to my soft bed and comfy pillows for an early night.

Have a fabulous week ahead!
